Founded in 2007 by a team of shareholders with over 15 years’ experience in the domestic audiovisual market, SP Televisão has become a benchmark among its independent counterparts in Portugal and is the independent production company that produces the most hours of entertainment in Europe. It is part of the SP Group, with SPi and SP Entertainment, which defines itself as a storyteller. This has been led by the values that underpin it: talent, professionalism, transparency and integrity; as well as its output, 17 series, including Conta-me Como Foi, and 31 soap operas, such as Laços de Sangue, which won an International Emmy in 2011.
The company has modern infrastructure and production facilities ranging from studios, covering a total area of 5,100 m², to editing rooms (video, audio and colour post-production). With more than a hundred awards and nominations at national and international festivals, the investment in internationalisation has gained interest from other markets, with content sold to more than 32 countries.

Serving an international audience
SPi, created in 2007, is dedicated to developing international projects such as fictional TV series, documentaries and lifestyle content. It has become a pioneer in Portugal with content for streaming platforms such as Netflix, HBO MAX and Prime Video. Its portfolio includes Glória (2021), the first original Portuguese series broadcast on Netflix, as well as Auga Seca, Motel Valquírias and Codex 632, among other titles.
SP Entertainment is dedicated to original entertainment content of various genres, such as A Ilha do Panda, as well as major live shows such as the Eurovision Song Contest. It has developed original formats for general stations and cable channels, created digital applications for its formats and produces programmes based on international formats. The Ah, Amália – Living Experience exhibition, a tribute to the fado diva, uses modern exhibition and display technologies.

A call to reading
Since 2006, Guerra & Paz, a general publishing house, has stood out for its unbiased and tolerant approach. The catalogue focuses on universal cultural heritage and modern trends, using innovative graphic language. It challenges a wide audience to read or re-read the classics, from Eça to Machado de Assis, from António Vieira to Twain, from Wilde to Conrad, and others. Among Portuguese authors, Sena, Sophia and Eugénio de Andrade stand out. The publisher also welcomes works by contemporary authors, from João Céu e Silva to Eugénia de Vasconcellos, namely.
The launches are divided into collections such as Os Livros Não se Rendem, Três Sinais, … o fio da memória, among others, namely in partnership with various institutions. It also includes two other labels, Euforia and Crisântemo.
With a back catalogue of around a thousand titles, it also meets new reading trends with an annual digital edition of 50 ebooks.
